Description
The name “Jeremiah” is well-known, and it immediately brings to mind the association of “the weeping prophet.” He one of the “major” prophets because of the length of his prophecy. Few Bible classes have spent time in a thorough study of this man, and fewer pulpits have delved into his prophecy in a concentrated sermon series. This study series provides the basis for an in-depth study of the prophet and his prophecy, and the materials focus on the ancient setting and the modern application of this prophecy. The lessons are divided into three lectures:
- “The Tears Of A Preacher”
- “The Tragedy Of A Preacher”
- “The Triumph Of Preaching”
The materials contained for this lesson series can be presented as a sermon series or classroom discussion. Although there are only three lectures, there is enough materials to expand for a quarter of bible class study. In addition to the lecture materials, there are 575 “short sketches” for bible lessons and sermons developed while preparing this series.
