Description
The Book of Job contains the well-known narrative of human suffering. A study of this topic is always eagerly sought as efforts to explain the tragedy of suffering for those who fear and obey God’s will. This series of lectures explores the Book of Job and discusses how pertinent lessons can be developed and presented from the pulpit and Bible Class setting. The lessons are divided into four lectures:
- “A character that senses – seeing with Integrity”
- “A comfort that succors – seeing beyond Impediments”
- “A confession that steels – seeing past Irritations”
- “A confidence that strives – seeing the Immortal”
The lectures are included with visuals offering a listing of the major points of discussion. In addition to the visual presentation, there are 401 “short sketches” developed while preparing this series.
The materials contained in this series can be presented as a sermon series or classroom discussion. PowerPoint shows are included for each lesson. Although there are only four lectures, there is enough materials to expand for a quarter of bible class study.
This series of lessons were presented at the 2003 Freed-Hardeman University lectureships.
