Description
A study of the book of Isaiah is both a rewarding and a challenging task. The prophecy deals with religious, moral, and political issues that are as current as this morning’s newspaper. The book contains a large amount of predictive prophecy concerning events and personalities far removed from Isaiah’s day. The prophecy presents a clear portrayal of the coming Christ (Is 59:20). This lecture will study three topics:
- “The Coming Christ – His Coming PUBLISHED!”
- “The Coming Christ – His Coming PORTRAYED!”
- “The Coming Christ – His Coming PRESENTED!”
The materials contained for this lesson series can be presented as a sermon series or classroom discussion. PowerPoint shows are included for each lesson. 736 “short sketches” developed while preparing this series can aid in sermon and class preparation. Although there are only three lectures, there are enough materials to expand for a quarter of bible class study.
This series of lessons were presented at the 2002 Freed-Hardeman University lectureships.
