Studies in Titus

Description

The Book of Titus is listed along with the two letters to Timothy as the “Pastoral Epistles” of Paul. These letters are called this because they contain many general instructions for the church. Paul’s letter to Titus provides God’s counsel for godly living. Within the three brief chapters of this epistle, we discover specific instructions about how the Christian life is to demonstrate a practical godliness. Paul’s lessons to Titus are for leaders, teachers, preachers and every Christian – both young and old. These lessons are as pertinent in today’s world as in the infant years of the church.

The message of Titus is needed in our society. Morality is quickly diminishing. Authority is arrogantly rejected. God’s Truth is distorted. The unchanging standards of the Bible are being replaced by the shifting and ever‐changing norms of relative judgment. Titus speaks clearly to our moral values in daily life and to the fellowship of the Lord’s people. This study examines many practical issues facing Christians and the church. Such a practical study will help all Christians to learn basic instructions on how to develop a life centered on godly living.
